What We’re Building

The Henrico Pierce Foundation is a newly established nonprofit working to advance environmental justice and disability equity across Hampton Roads, Virginia and Western North Carolina.

We are building community-rooted work that helps residents, families, caregivers, and local leaders better understand complex systems and create lasting change.

Focus Areas

Environmental Justice

We are developing community-centered work focused on environmental education, public understanding, and advocacy in neighborhoods affected by environmental harm and unequal infrastructure decisions.

Our goal is to help translate technical, environmental, and civic information into clear and actionable knowledge for residents and decision-makers.

Disability Equity
& Accessibility

We are building support-oriented initiatives that serve individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and frontline workers navigating medical, social service, and community systems.

This work is grounded in dignity, accessibility, and the belief that no one should have to navigate complex systems alone.

Education, Advocacy & Collaboration

We believe lasting change happens when communities have access to understandable information, stronger support networks, and meaningful partnerships.

Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, we aim to help bridge the gap between institutions and the people they are meant to serve.
